Venable represented EMZ portfolio company FotoFinder Systems, Inc., a global leader in skin imaging solutions, in connection with its acquisition of DermLite LLC, a renowned provider of handheld dermoscopy devices. The transaction unites two complementary businesses and paves the way for innovation in modern dermatological diagnostics and research. The acquisition also marks EMZ’s first direct investment in the United States.
The deal, which was structured as a stock purchase of DermLite’s ultimate parent company with a significant reinvestment from two of DermLite’s founders, closed on March 15, 2024.
