Smart contracts in international trade and finance are a fairly recent development, representing a turning point in international trade and dispute resolution. The CISG has been with us for decades. The combination brings Power and Progress to International Law as well as potential perils. This program aims to give lawyers insight and expertise in the use and benefits of smart contracts under the CISG. Smart contracts will lead to enhanced efficiency, reduction of risk, and promotion of trust while reducing disputes. We will discuss outcomes, lessons learned, and best practices when using smart contracts.
