Paul Debolt, Keir Bancroft and Michael Francel's article, "Choosing a Supplier: Department of Defense Issues New Rules on the Sources of Electronic Parts," was published in Pratt's Government Contracting Law Report (December 12, Vol. 2, No. 12). The article discusses the Department of Defense's new final rule implementing additional Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement regulations for the Detection and Avoidance of Counterfeit Electronic Parts in the supply chain, as well as a proposed amendment to the Sources of Electronic Parts clause that would make a contractor's selection of a "contractor-approved supplier" subject to review, audit, and approval by the contracting officer.
