Venable of counsel Jonathan Pompan was quoted in the November 14, 2012 issue of the CFPB Watch newsletter on possible coordination between the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Both agencies have overlapping jurisdictions in certain areas.

At the American Bar Association’s antitrust fall forum earlier this month, representatives from both agencies went out of their way to emphasize their close working relationship. Following opening remarks, Pompan, who moderated the panel discussion, said he counted and the word “coordination” was used at least 15 times.
