Ameri Neda

Neda Ameri assists clients with a variety of matters, including design and construction-related contracts, the acquisition and disposition of real property, zoning and land use approvals, commercial leasing, financing, and nonprofit governance and transactions. Neda has experience drafting agreements, reviewing and analyzing due diligence materials, managing closings, and conducting zoning due diligence. She brings a background in engineering to her real estate practice, allowing her to create innovative solutions to complex problems.

Neda graduated cum laude from Fordham Law School, where she was a member of the Fordham Moot Court Board and the Fordham Urban Law Journal. Neda also worked as a summer associate at Venable, where she researched and wrote memos on real estate, litigation, trademark, and various pro bono matters.

  • Assisted in the acquisition of a commercial property in Brooklyn for a nonprofit client
  • Assisted in drafting and negotiating various design and construction-related agreements for a major educational institution, including the $150+ million redevelopment of a major campus building
  • Assisted a nonprofit organization in drafting and negotiating a pre-development agreement, funding agreement, and development ground lease for an approximately 400,000 square foot research campus on its property
  • Assisted special servicers in the modification of various commercial mortgage-backed hospitality loans
  • Assisted in drafting and negotiating leases on behalf of an Italian food company for its first two U.S. restaurants
  • Assisted a major New York City medical center in obtaining land use approvals for hospital expansion projects
  • Assisted a community development organization in land use matters related to the proposed redevelopment of a full square block in Brooklyn
  • Conducted zoning due diligence for a wind energy company as it considered NYC sites for substation connections to offshore wind farms
  • Assisted with the dissolution of a New York nonprofit corporation, including obtaining AG approval and negotiating the agreements to transfer its remaining assets to another nonprofit corporation
