Robert G. Ames

Ames Robert

Bob Ames is a labor and employment attorney who represents public and private sector employers – often as chief negotiator and strategist in collective bargaining negotiations, and as lead counsel in labor arbitrations and employment discrimination litigation. Employers turn to him for effective counsel in labor and employment matters, assistance with union avoidance strategies, and advice on compliance with the multitude of labor and employment laws and regulations applicable to their operations.

Bob frequently represents defendants facing claimed violations of Title III (Public Accommodations and Services Operated by Private Entities) of the Americans with Disabilities Act. He has negotiated labor contracts, incorporating merit pay concepts and other cost containment features. He has a proven record of helping clients avoid the disruption and cost of litigation. His clients appreciate his ability to express arcane legal principles and requirements in simple terms that laypersons can understand. He is known for his ability to identify potential problems quickly and recommend practical solutions.
