Sahar Ahmed

Sahar Ahmed assists clients with complex matters involving trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement domestically and internationally. Sahar is experienced in a wide variety of brand enforcement matters, including conducting comprehensive clearance searches, preparing cease and desist letters, and drafting and filing complaints under the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy. She has also developed solutions and strategies related to federal district court trademark infringement and anti-counterfeiting proceedings and negotiated with defendants to reach amicable settlement agreements.

Prior to joining Venable, Sahar was an associate attorney for an intellectual property law firm in Washington, DC, where she focused on matters involving trademark prosecution and litigation, anti-counterfeiting, and patent litigation.
