Sam Djahanbani advises on complex tax, corporate, and business matters, with a focus on the entertainment industry. Sam’s clients include actors, producers, comedians, directors, executives, production companies, talent management companies, podcast networks, musicians, influencers, and entrepreneurs. He advises on a wide array of transactions, including joint ventures, equity financings, brand deals, music catalog sales, equity incentive grants, and endorsement deals. Sam guides clients through entity formation and structuring, capital raises, equity incentive plans, to liquidity events. He attended USC Gould School of Law, where he received the Law Alumni Award for maintaining the highest scholastic average among his graduating class.
Sam is experienced in finding optimal tax planning solutions and drafting various business transaction documents, such as operating agreements, employment agreements, purchase agreements, and commercial agreements. During law school, he attained certificates in Media and Entertainment Law and Business Law, earning numerous awards for academic excellence, and interned with Lionsgate Entertainment. He brings a background in accounting to his law practice, having worked as a senior tax accountant for a prominent Los Angeles accounting firm prior to law school.
