Sarah Donovan is a policy advisor in the Legislative and Government Affairs Practice in the Washington, DC office. Sarah has advised corporate and nonprofit clients on a wide range of legislative and regulatory matters. She maintains a strong network in Congress and the Administration, regularly engaging members, staff, and officials on a variety of issues including education, privacy, appropriations, financial services, defense, and healthcare. Sarah dedicates a significant portion of her practice to education, with a focus on early childhood and higher education public policy.
Sarah also serves as an officer of the National Business Coalition on E-Commerce and Privacy, a consortium of brand-name companies and associations, and acts as the primary advisor for the coalition's state subcommittee.
Prior to joining Venable, Sarah was a policy advisor in the federal law and policy practice at an international law firm in Washington, DC. She also worked in investment banking and consulting services, including a position as senior vice president of FIG Partners, LLC, in the Investment Banking, Energy Research, and Capital Group.
