Mary Beth Hasty provides legal counsel on trademarks, brand protection, and creative content. Drawing on her background as a former trademark examining attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Mary Beth handles U.S. and international trademark search clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management. She is experienced in advising on the licensing of intellectual property and enforcing intellectual property rights at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and in federal district court, domain name dispute forums, and third-party platforms for e-commerce and social media.

A proud member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), Mary Beth served as an INTA student ambassador for the George Washington University Law School, and as a panel moderator at the INTA Annual Conference in 2016. Mary Beth began her career at a Florida boutique intellectual property firm, where she gained experience in the protection, registrability, and enforcement of intellectual property rights.

A Miami native, Mary Beth served as a director of the Coral Gables Bar Association and volunteered in her community with the Junior League of Miami. After moving back to the Washington, DC area to serve as a trademark examining attorney at the USPTO, she joined the Junior League of Washington and started volunteering for Georgetown Main Street, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting small businesses. She now serves as a director on the board of directors of Georgetown Main Street, dedicating her time to supporting programs, events, and grants for small businesses in the Georgetown community. Mary Beth is also an active alumna of Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, Sciences Po, the University of Florida, and the George Washington University, where she recently served as an advisor to graduate students completing a capstone research project.
