Jeffrey Nover

Jeff Nover represents lenders, government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs), and other financial institutions in a broad range of real estate finance and other secured lending transactions. Jeff has experience with acquisition and refinance loans, loan assumptions and modifications, and construction loans, including transactions that utilize federal and state tax credits. Jeff regularly represents a leading GSE on the financing of pools of loans secured by multifamily housing properties located across the country.

Since joining Venable, Jeff has represented a leading GSE in connection with more than $3 billion in structured credit facility financings secured by multiple pools of market-rate, affordable, manufactured, senior, and student multifamily housing properties.

  • Represented a national nonprofit organization in the establishment of a loan fund to provide acquisition and construction financing to small developers to purchase, rehab, and renovate single-family homes, in neighborhoods of Baltimore City that have historically suffered from disinvestment for resale, to low-income owner-occupant homeowners
  • Represented four Black-owned small businesses to negotiate commercial leases for vacant storefront retail spaces in downtown Baltimore in connection with the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore's BOOST program
