- Represented a law school in a putative class action brought by former students raising consumer protection claims and seeking disgorgement of $100 million; team obtained complete dismissal of the action with prejudice through pre-answer motion to dismiss
- Represented the foreign representative of an insolvent Swiss company in an adversary proceeding against counterparties based in the United States and overseas to recover over $100 million arising from the close-out of derivatives contracts; team negotiated a favorable settlement, securing the approval of the client's creditors committee and the U.S. bankruptcy court
- Represented CMBS trusts in an involuntary bankruptcy petition against a defaulting commercial borrower owing tens of millions of dollars under numerous personal guarantees. Following extensive briefing and an evidentiary hearing on a novel and unsettled area of bankruptcy law, team obtained a favorable settlement
- Represented foreign high-net-worth individuals in an SEC enforcement action alleging violations of U.S. securities regulations and seeking tens of millions of dollars in disgorgement, monetary penalties, and injunctive relief. After successfully dismissing the SEC's first complaint, team obtained a favorable settlement on behalf of clients
