Ashley Sykes focuses on counseling clients in all aspects of employment and independent school law matters. Ashley brings a background in compliance, privacy, and operations to her practice, helping clients to ensure that their internal policies and procedures comply with applicable state and federal laws.

Ashley formerly served as the vice president of compliance at a national pre-employment background screening company, where she advised the company's management team on internal legal matters and ensured that the company's operating procedures complied with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), domestic and international privacy laws, and all other laws impacting the pre-hire process. 

Prior to this, Ashley worked at a national law firm in its labor and employment practice, where she represented management in all manner of labor and employment matters, including administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC); litigation involving the enforcement of non-competition, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements; crafting and negotiating contracts with new employees and independent contractors; and advising on day-to-day strategies for workplace compliance.
