Patrice Stavile frequently represents investors, landlords and tenants, financial institutions, special lending servicers, and other entities in all aspects of real estate investments and transactions. Patrice's approach is to understand each client's needs for a specific transaction and incorporate a business-minded methodology in creating legal solutions. She has considerable experience in the negotiation of all types of leasing transactions, including commercial office, luxury retail, charter schools, restaurants, and warehouses, in which she has represented both landlords and tenants. She has worked on the creation of several leasehold condominium transactions representing both landlords and tenants.
Additionally, Patrice represents buyers and sellers in large-scale acquisitions and dispositions (including office buildings, shopping centers, and other multi-tenant properties) of real property, as well as lenders and borrowers of mortgage financings. Patrice has worked on the liquidation of retail businesses in the United States, China, and other countries and has represented joint venturers in domestic and foreign investments. She also represents buyers and sellers in commercial condominium and co-op transactions and luxury residential transactions.
Prior to joining Venable, Patrice was general counsel to M1 Real Estate and Façonnable USA. In those roles she handled all aspects of both companies' legal needs, including office building acquisitions and dispositions in the United States and London, all of Façonnable USA's office and retail leases, and all of the companies' business operations, including overseeing litigation, employee issues, and tax audits, and supervising outside counsel. She represented Hackett USA, an affiliated company, in its U.S. corporate formation and its retail leases.
In her counsel position at a New York-based global law firm, Patrice represented the firm in all of its leasing and subleasing matters in the United States and worldwide.
