Philip Sheng is a trial lawyer who represents clients in complex and must-win intellectual property disputes. Philip has represented clients before the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), in federal and state courts, and in international forums, including the UK, Germany, and the Unified Patent Court (UPC). His practice spans industries including life sciences, telecommunications and semiconductor technologies. Philip also advises on sports law issues, including name, image, and likeness (NIL) matters and compliance with evolving NCAA regulations. Earlier in his career, Philip served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Randall R. Rader of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which has exclusive, nationwide appellate jurisdiction over cases arising under the patent laws. Prior to that, Philip was an Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) ranked tennis professional. While earning his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, he played Division 1 tennis as a full-scholarship athlete.
