Venable represented the owner of a 3,000+-acre intermodal facility, in connection with a joint venture with port operator Terminal Investments Limited to develop and operate a 165-acre container terminal in the port of Baltimore.

The new terminal represents the next major phase of development at the industrial center and is expected to create hundreds of jobs throughout the permitting and construction process, while vastly expanding cargo-handling capacity at Baltimore’s port and strengthening its competitive advantage. The process of public engagement, design, and permitting is under way and has the joint support of the governor of Maryland, the Baltimore County executive, and the mayor of Baltimore. A core team consisting of Thomas Washburne, Suzanne St. Pierre, Allison Foley, Nicholas Collevecchio, and Molly Merritts-Ricci represented client TradePoint Atlantic in this matter, with critical support from Andrew Currie, Michael Davis, Robert Hoffman, Michael Klein, Mitchell Kolkin, Diana Krevor, Lindsay Meyer, Christopher Mudd, Anthony Pagano, Jeffrey Sabin, and Lauren Petersen.
