Gabriella Joseph

Gabriella Joseph represents clients throughout the full life cycle of brand protection. Gabriella advises clients on trademark prosecution, brand management, and a broad range of intellectual property matters, drawing on her background in corporate transactions to provide commercially focused counsel. Her experience includes managing domestic trademark portfolios, preparing and prosecuting U.S. trademark applications, drafting and responding to Office Actions, and advising on clearance and registration strategy. She routinely assists with enforcement matters, including drafting cease and desist letters, preparing settlement and coexistence agreements, and supporting risk mitigation and brand protection strategies.

Gabriella also provides support for proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), including drafting oppositions and cancellations, working closely with clients on strategy and briefing.

Drawing on her corporate background, Gabriella brings valuable transactional insight to her IP practice. She has experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, and general business transactions, including conducting intellectual property due diligence in M&A deals. In addition, Gabriella advises clients on trademark-related transactions, including drafting and negotiating licensing agreements, settlement agreements, and trademark assignments, and recording assignments with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She counsels clients on structuring agreements to align with broader brand strategy and business objectives.

Before focusing her practice on trademark prosecution and brand management, Gabriella assisted clients with entity formation, contract analysis, and strategic business planning. Her combined experience enables her to assess trademark assets not only from a registration and enforcement perspective, but also as critical components of enterprise value in complex transactions.
