Ronn S. Davids

Partner

Ronn S. Davids is a partner in Venable's Corporate Group in Los Angeles. He has a national corporate and transactional practice focused on representing middle-market and emerging growth companies in distressed and non-distressed situations, with a special emphasis on counseling private equity funds and their portfolio companies in acquisitions, dispositions and financings. In addition, Mr. Davids has extensive experience representing clients in the media and entertainment industries, including digital media and branded merchandise businesses, industry executives, entrepreneurs and investors. He also handles significant business transactions for healthcare clients, such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), physician networks and physician practice groups.

Mr. Davids frequently represents clients in matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity and debt financings, leveraged buyouts, corporate restructurings and bankruptcies (including the purchase and sale of core assets, negotiations with creditors and advising officers and directors of distressed companies), venture capital investments, joint ventures, executive compensation, and other general corporate matters.

Activities

Active in the community and an ordained rabbi, Mr. Davids serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Wilshire Boulevard Temple. He previously served as Co-Chair of the Technology Industry Task Force of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, was a founding member of the Restructuring & Insolvency Professionals of Southern California and is a former member of the Board of Overseers of the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion (Los Angeles).
