Washington, DC (May 24, 2013) – Chambers USA has released its full list of annual rankings of attorneys and law firms in the United States. This year, a record 76 Venable attorneys received placements in 81 categories and 29 practices were ranked at the state and national level. This is Chambers USA’s eleventh annual survey covering America’s leading lawyers identified as the best in their fields by their peers and clients.
Venable saw a marked increase compared to last year with 17 new attorneys ranked for the first time, nine of whom were ranked nationally. Two practice groups were also ranked for the first time in Nationwide Product Liability & Mass Torts and DC Intellectual Property: Litigation. Four attorneys and two practice groups improved their rankings from last year including DC Intellectual Property: Patent Prosecution which moved into Band 1. Overall, Venable saw 14 attorneys achieve Band 1 rankings in 15 categories and 8 practice groups ranked in Band 1 at the state and national level.
Chambers and Partners notes that it conducts intensive, continuous research to identify the world’s leading lawyers and law firms – those who perform best according to the criteria most valued by clients. The process, which extends over several months, includes written submissions, personal interviews, client feedback, and peer assessment.
