Brian Tengel is a member of Venable’s Regulatory Group in Washington, D.C. Mr. Tengel’s practice focuses on advertising and marketing and consumer protection. He counsels clients on FTC, NAD, and CPSC matters, advertising claim substantiation and review, pricing and sales claims, and sweepstakes and promotions in the automotive, retail, sports, gaming, hospitality, dietary supplements, and food and beverage industries. Mr. Tengel also has extensive experience advising clients on gift card and unclaimed property matters.
- Performed FTC and NAD advertising counseling and compliance for an international hospitality brand and large automotive company;
- Advised a major ride-sharing company and a fitness app on gift card and unclaimed property matters;
- Drafted sweepstakes and contest promotions for an international e-gaming brand and a national sports franchise; and
- Created a subscription box company’s policies and procedures for Consumer Product Safety Act reporting and compliance
