Brian Tengel provides consumer privacy and data security guidance for clients across many industries. Brian advises on compliance with federal, state, and international laws and regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In addition, Brian has represented clients in investigations before congressional committees, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and state attorneys general.
As a member of the firm's Mobility and Transportation Technology team, Brian also provides guidance on complex legal, regulatory, and policy issues related to emerging transportation technologies, including fully automated and electric vehicles, connected cars, and the Internet of Things.
Following law school, Brian clerked for Chief Judge Roger L. Gregory of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and for Associate Judge Corinne Beckwith of the D.C. Court of Appeals.
