Since leaving the U.S. Senate, Josh has influenced legislative and regulatory policy, first as the vice president of legislative affairs at a well-known government and public relations firm, and then over the past eight years in his role at Venable. In addition, he served on the professional staff of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee as a senior aide to Senator Dean Heller (R-NV), during the senator's service as ranking member of the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, Insurance, and Data Security. Prior to that position, he was the legislative director for U.S. Representative Tom Graves (R-GA), who served on the House Appropriations Committee. He also served as the legislative assistant to U.S. Representative Mike Rogers (R-MI), with a focus on telecommunications and Internet issues before the Energy and Commerce Committee (E&C).
