Record 19 National Tier 1 rankings; 104 total national and metropolitan rankings
Washington, DC – November 3, 2015 – In another record-setting year, Venable LLP announced today that the 2016 edition of U.S. News – Best Lawyers® "Best Law Firms" ranked the firm as a National Tier 1 firm in a record 19 practice areas. Overall, Venable was ranked in 104 individual categories at the national and metropolitan levels.
The U.S. News – Best Lawyers® "Best Law Firms" rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process, including the collection of client and attorney evaluations, peer review by leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process. To be eligible for a ranking, a law firm must have at least one lawyer listed in the 21st edition of The Best Lawyers in America©, for that particular location and specialty.
Earlier this year, 93 attorneys were named to the 2016 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, including a record eight attorneys who were named "Lawyer of the Year" in Baltimore and Washington, DC.
