This session brings together legal and technology experts from the United States, the UK, and China to address common themes on tracking and targeting around the world, with a goal of helping companies and other organizations develop global compliance plans. Tracking and targeting online and on mobile devices is under ever-increasing scrutiny globally by regulators and platform providers. This session will address guidance and judgments from dozens of DPAs, including the European Data Protection Board, and other regulators and courts around the world. In addition, we will place a special emphasis on new laws, such as China’s new Personal Information Protection Law and Brazil’s new Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD), including how they regulate tracking and targeting.
