60 attorneys and 23 practice groups ranked at the state and national level
Chambers USA has released its 2017 list of law firm and attorney rankings in the United States. This year, 60 Venable attorneys and 23 practice groups were ranked at the state and national level. This is Chambers USA's fourteenth annual survey covering America's leading attorneys identified as the best in their field by their peers and clients.
For the fourth consecutive year, partner James J. Hanks, Jr. was named a Star Individual for Nationwide REITs: Maryland Counsel, Chambers' highest ranking, indicating exceptional recommendations. Mr. Hanks is the only attorney in the country to receive such a ranking in this category. Among other highlights in this year's rankings was the addition of Andrew D. Price, who was ranked for the first time. Seven attorneys – Harry I. Atlas, Bryson L. Cook, Gregory A. Cross, Bruce R. Parker, Anthony J. Rosso, James L. Shea, and Ronald W Taylor – saw their rankings increase over last year. The firm was also shortlisted for the coveted Chambers USA Award for Excellence in the Privacy & Data Security category.
